Listen to this song . . . especially after the four minute mark. Every time I hear this version of this song, I get chills. I was there. I saw the band 10 times in the past six months, and heard this song 8 times. And each times, it moved me nearly to tears. I updated my facebook status halfway through the first time I heard it (which was the first time it was ever played full band) . . . I made it say "Anthony is so damn lucky XD" . . . This song has always meant a lot to me. And it's always going to be a part of me.
I love this band.
I love the way this song makes me feel.
I love that music can move me the way it does.

LeRoi Moore died on Tuesday. For those who don't know, he was the saxophonist for Dave Matthews Band. He was in an ATV accident on June 30 and died from complications of that. I've taken the news pretty hard. I've been a huge fan of this band for so long. For the last 12 or so years they've been a main part of my life. that's nearly half of my lifetime. 'Roi was not the most "out front" member of the band, tending to shy away from the spotlight, but his skills were undeniably great. Jeff Coffin of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones is stepping in very nicely for now.
It's strange to think that he won't be stage left, standing in between Fonzie and Rashawn anymore. Not too many people understand why it hurts so much. Heather, my sister Michelle, and of course James do. Jena as well. It's hard enough to explain what dmb means to me. I dunno . . . this is tough.
Next weekend is going to be really strange. I don't know how I'm going to handle being at the three shows at The Gorge. We're trying to organize the entire place to start singing Three Little Birds to the band during the encore break one night, and trying to get either LED candles or white glowsticks for a lot of people, since we can't do a real candlelight vigil due to the burn ban in effect in Washington. We want to give back to the band that gave us so much.
They deserve it.

Hello all! Seeing as how my last post was nearly a week ago, I figured I'd drop in and update and whatnot. Things are going pretty well, for the most part. It's been a pretty good week, and it's gonna be a nice weekend.
Tomorrow night I'm having dinner with Andrew and Emily at a Japanese Restaurant out by Andrew's house. This'll be nice, since I haven't seen them in about a month. Or maybe even longer! So, we'll enjoy that.
Then on Saturday I'm going kayaking with Christine, Melissa, and Christine's sister, and her friend Ariella. That's going to be an interesting adventure, honestly. She says it's fun. I'm hoping that it is. I've never kayaked before, which is part of the reason that I'm apprehensive about it. But I may as well start taking more risks. :-)
Then Sunday is Nicole's 4th birthday party. It's a Luau! That'll be a fun time, too, kinda. I'll work that morning, so I'll be kinda tired at the party, but that's okay.
Them Monday-Thursday is work. Then Friday I'll be on a plane with James to Atlanta, Georgia to see our favorite band, EVER!
That's right, only 8 days until DMB at Piedmont Park in Atlanta. I am VERY excited at this. We'll see what they play at the Gorge this weekend. The three shows at the Gorge are usually amazing. So we'll see what they pull out there.
Awwww yeah :-)
Anyway, I'll post all about school another time. I'm kinda tired and wanna get some sleep. :-) Hope all is well with everyone else.
Yay!

So, I've been more and more upbeat in the past few days than I've been in a long time. A lot of it is thanks to James . . . here's why (links are from me, so that you can follow my story in a fun way :-) )
See, James and I are going to see Dave Matthews Band on August 4 and 5 at the New England Dodge Music Center in Hartford, Connecticut. James and I are both HUGE dmb fans, so it'll be nice to see a few shows with him. We've been planning this for a while. He's actually hitting the first six shows of the tour . . . the first two are August 1 and 2 at the Tweeter Center in Mansfield, Massachussetts. The next two are the ones we're going to see in Hartford on August 4 and 5. Following those are two more shows, August 7 and 8 at a different Tweeter Center, this time in Camden, NJ.
So, we've been looking forward to this since we got tickets, many months ago. This was going to be the high point of my summer, honestly. The thing that I am looking forward to the most. But last week, DMB announced that they were going to do a special show, and James bought two tickets, and asked if I wanted to go. So, I decided to go. Where is the show? Let's see:
Some more info . . . there were VIP tickets and then regular general admission ones. We got GA, which is good, because the other ones were 250 dollars. Ours are 45. Since we bought them during the pre-order time period through dmb's fan club, The Warehouse, we get in an hour earlier than anyone who buys them after today. Here's the seating chart:
So, since the VIPs get a section on the side, we can get right up to the stage, if we can run fast enough! We plan on getting there VERY early in the day so that we have the best shot at getting close. It's going to be a great time, for sure. I am honestly very excited about this.
Couple that with Mets games with family and friends, and working with people that I like, making some decent money, finally . . . it's going to be a wonderful summer.
So yeah, that's what's been going on with me.
YAY!!!!!
Okay, more later.
