Back from Colin Hay's concert
Well . . . I'm back from the concert! I got home a while ago, but I was tooooo pumped to even think of posting a blog. I've calmed down and am ready. I am so happy that I got these tickets when I did . . . I was in the second row, about fifteen feet away from Colin Hay the whole entire night!
Okay, well, the night opened with a guy named Ed Ryan. I really enjoyed his stuff. It was all acoustic music, very well written and he has a great voice.
But of course, I was there to see the Man at Work himself, Mr. Colin Hay!! :)

Colin's mixes story telling (like he was here) with singing songs. His stories are very humerous . . . he's a funny guy :)

But of course, he sings. Very well. I've posted songs of his here, he's amazing :)
Great guitarist too! James and Andrew both would have been happy to see up close his guitar abilities.
But my sister did enjoy it a lot too, which I'm glad about, since she didn't know any songs (other than Down Under :) ). But yeah, it went well.
AND, afterwards, there was a meet and great. And guess who got his autograph and picture with Colin Hay?
ME! I did!! HE looks very much like a wax figure from Madame Toussauds, but he's not. I promise, that's me and Colin Hay, two hours ago! :)

Oh, and you know what, he played all of my favorite songs (except for I Just Don't Think I'll Ever Get Over You), but I was worried, because Waiting For My Real Life To Begin is my favorite, and he ended the show, and then we gave him a standing ovation, and then he's like, "okay, I'll play one more since you're standing" and then he turned around and got his guitar, and we were all sitting again . . . and he made a joke about that. And then he played it :) And I was so relieved.

haha omg, can i just point out how creepy looking he is? i would be totally freaked out. but in complete anthony-style, you look super pumped. i'm glad you had fun. :P
